The inauguration of the Miss Mongol Scholarship Foundation was a significant event that brought together a diverse group of people in Kathmandu. President of the foundation and winner of Miss Mongol Nepal 2018 Jangmu Sherpa, first runner-up Preeti Gurung and second runner-up Punam Sherpa asked everyone to participate in the campaign launched for the education of underprivileged backgrounds. It is a pity not to be able to go to school due to a lack of finances. Let’s all work together to create an environment for such helpless children to go to school,” Jangmu said.
Before the opening of the fund in the program, a different walk of life who provided financial support was awarded the ‘Miss Mongol Scholarship Honor-2018”’. Nepal Sherpa Association, President Mr. Ang Dorje Sherpa, Seven Summit Treks, President Mingma Sherpa, Everest Hardware, Owner Sonam Sherpa, Pioneer Adventure Treks, Founder Lakpa Sherpa, Nepal Sherpa Women Association, President Mrs. Nimi Sherpa.
Similarly, social worker Temba Sherpa, Asian Treks, founder Ang Chiring Sherpa, social worker Lakpa Sherpa, Tag Nepal Treks and Expeditions, operator Pasang Tendi Sherpa, Discovery Mountain Treks and Expeditions, operator Ang Chiri Sherpa, Seven Summit Club founder Mingma Gelu Sherpa, Hotel Kamalakshi Palace, and Asian School of Management and Technology were also honored.
On the occasion of the opening of the foundation, there was also a musical performance by famous artists of Nepal. Singers Lakpa Sherpa, Tulsi Parajuli, Dheeraj Rai, Kamlikant Vetwal, and Pramila Rai entertained the audience with their famous songs.
